Grapes: 40% Grüner Veltliner, 30% Kerner, 20% Pinot Blanc, 10% Riesling

Process: The Grüner Veltliner grapes underwent a 5-day semi-carbonic maceration, the Kerner grapes also underwent a semi-carbonic process, the Pinot Blanc grapes were directly pressed, and the Riesling grapes were macerated for 3 days. All maceration took place separately, and all processes were carried out in stainless steel tanks. The wine was bottled with 7g residual sugar.

Flavor profile: Sassy 2022 is a macerated orange pet-nat. It brings to mind flavors of mandarin and ginger, with Orangina notes. It's a queen among wines.

Queen: @mystika.glamoor Edinburgh Drag Royalty and activist. Mother of Kiki &
Cucu (Ms Ronya, James the Creature), Kult Kween, Host of Glamoor Kweer Kabaret.

About the producer: Katla Wines is a natural wine producer from Germany known for its unique approach to experimentation. The owner, Jasmin Swan, produced her first vintage in 2019 in Bauneberg, then started working from the cellar of fellow German producer Staffelter Hof. Her wines are made from a combination of her own Riesling grown in the Mosel as well as grapes she purchases from producers in Germany and France with whom she has a good relationship. This allows her to travel more and gather knowledge to creatively reflect in her wines. She now has a cellar in Wöllstein, in Rheinhessen. The wines of Jasmin are energetic with a strong, direct, honest personality. She works closely with Jan Klein from Staffelter Hof and many other talented winemakers in Germany and France.

The grapes used in the Sassy 2022 wine come from vineyards that are either in the process of becoming organically certified or are already fully organically certified. The Grüner Veltliner grapes come from Lambsheim in Pfalz (from Lukas Krauss), the Kerner and Riesling grapes come from Burg Layen in Nahe (from Piri), and the Pinot Blanc grapes come from Eckelsheim in Rheinhessen (from Nicklas Rückrich).
