Fangst’s mission is to bring back the forgotten craftsmanship of canning fish in scandinavia.
In line with the new nordic diet they are rediscovering a product with tradition: A century ago coastlines were filled with hundreds of small scale companies canning the fish from the altic sea. In collaboration with local chefs Fangst wants to revive this tradition, so their fish becomes food again instead of animal feed. In direct relationship with the suppliers they have formed their own vision for sustainability and they evaluate each one independently of certificates. However, next to their critical eye, their fish suppliers- from Faroe island to the danish Limfjord are all from MSC certified fishing or ASC certified farming.
