This Award winning Traditional Scottish black pudding from our beloved Sausage Man will bring any fry-up to the next level!

Made by combining pork blood, suet, gluten-free oats, onions and spiced simply with black pepper and salt.
This rich, savory, yet crumbly blood sausage is a staple of Scottish cuisine; the oats provide a subtle, earthy bulk, balancing out the richness of the blood and fat.

It's usually sliced and fried until crispy on the outside, but remains tender on the inside. Best served as part of a hearty breakfast (alongside baked beans, bacon, eggs your way and thick cut, toasted Albatross house loaf dripping with butter) or with some sautéd apples and red onions.

Scottish black pudding has been a beloved dish for centuries, carrying deep cultural and historical significance across the Highlands.

“Marag Dubh” – the Scots Gaelic name for a Black Pudding was first made by Stornoway Crofters on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, who had to ensure that every part of the small number of livestock they kept was utilised to the full. When it came to killing the animal crofters would share the task and, in a time of no refrigeration, the meat with neighbours who in turn would return the favour at a later date, thus ensuring a meat supply during the long winter.

These may include bringing a similar item for free from the next day onwards, issuing a refund, or providing a discount code for future orders. In case an item would not be consumable despite of not having reached the expiry date, or its container being damaged, please contact us within 24h (.5).
